Is IT consulting independent of your managed services arm?

Yes. We do consulting engagements for businesses we don't manage and for managed clients. The recommendation is the recommendation — if a different MSP is the right answer, we'll say so.

What does a virtual CIO engagement look like?

Typically a monthly or quarterly strategic session with a senior JTIT engineer, plus on-call advice during the period. Most vCIO clients use it for technology roadmap planning, vendor evaluation, security strategy review and budget input. It's not for day-to-day support — that's covered by managed services.
